Chapter 1.05: ‘The One’

Early Friday morning as I was playing games on my phone when Mitch said he wanted to show me something.

“In our pajamas?”

“It doesn’t matter, it’s not like anyone will see… and I think you look sexy.”

“Mitch!” I laughed and ran down to the shoreline. “Gosh it looks so nice down here.” I said, looking around. “Mitch, thanks for bringing me down here, it’s beautiful.”

I heard his voice and looked down. “Not as beautiful as you.”

“Nadia, when I first met you I thought you were gorgeous, and I remember thinking to myself, ‘Mitchell, that girl is special. You have to at least talk to her.’ But when I started talking to you, I realized something else: you were as beautiful on the inside as you were on the outside. When I learned you liked me back I couldn’t believe my good luck. I hope I’m just as lucky today as the day you first walked into my life. Nadia Lexi Clemonte, will you make me the luckiest man in the whole world and marry me?”

That was so sweet! “Yes.” I first whispered to myself, than I looked to my boyfriend and squealed so the whole world could hear me. “YES. OH MY LLAMAS YES!”

He smiled so big and slid the ring on my finger.

Oh my goodness. This was really happening? Maybe in the feeling of the moment, and just pure joy, I jumped into his arms and he caught me.

“You caught me.” I said to him, unbelievingly.

“Yes, I did. And I will catch you for the rest of your life and never let go.”

My life is perfect. So perfect.
