And even though I was pregnant, I still felt very active, and went to workout. I can be a fit mom, I decided. I can do this, how hard can it be?
After working out for about 10 minutes, however, I didn’t feel so good. Sometimes I pushed myself too hard.
“Ok, maybe no working out.” I said to myself.
I got home and dressed up for a night out. Pregnant sims can have fun too! Mitchell has been working very late hours for his job but he loves what he does now. I don’t want to take credit for that… but I am. I did tell him to give it a shot and it is working out great for him. Also, I know that I went into the tech career for the money at first, but I actually really enjoy it!
I sighed. “Watcher.”
“Yikes…” I said, “First trimester and my back already aches. This is gonna be a long nine months.” I gave up on going out, and instead I went to bed early.
A few weeks later, I was officially into my second trimester, and nobody with a brain could mistake me for being anything but pregnant.
I looked down at my belly and said to my baby: “There really better be only one of you in there, I’m serious.”
“You’re gonna be a mom soon!” Mitch said. “You excited?”
“Of course! I can’t wait to have a little son or daughter!”
I smiled just at the thought. Our new baby’s room was built and we’d gotten a (very cheap) little loveseat.
“So, we’re going to be parents.” I said. The word parent still got me a little nervous. I was going to raise a sim for 18 years!
“Yeah. And…” He added, seeing my nerves, “we’re gonna be dang good ones too.”
I grinned. Mitch always knew what to say. “Thanks.”
“Anything for my favorite sim in the whole Simuniverse!” He replied. “Baby, we gotta talk about our last name, now that we have a little son or daughter on the way.”
“Yeah.” I said, “I know. What do you think?”
“I don’t care, honestly, as long as it’s the same. I just want our last name to represent our bond, how we’re married. What about you?”
“Well, this is gonna sound dumb.”
“I want to keep my last name. I’ve had it forever, and at times it was one of the only things I had. It’s also the only thing keeping me tied to my birth mom, whoever she is.”
“Then I’ll change my name to yours. We’ll be the Clemontes!”
“I love you.”
“I love you too.”
