It seemed like my pregnancy went by so fast. One day, I was getting used to the fact, and the next, we were gushing over baby names. It was an easy pregnancy, I only threw up once. But the peeing, oh gosh. I had to pee all the time. I woke up to pee. I had to pee when I went to see Mitch perform in San Myshuno, and I’d gone before we left. It was crazy. I probably peed more in those nine months than my whole life!
I loved watching my husband perform. This was actually the first time I had! I’d been so busy, with my own job, with the pregnancy, that when he said he was going out to make some more simoleons, I insisted on going. We were both on family leave and this baby was coming any day now. I’d never had enough free time, so I wanted to go see him! Watching my husband perform was amazing, and I have to say, he’s very funny.
We made it home with about 600 more simoleons then we’d left with. I was just eating yogurt when I felt a pain in my belly. Watcher, that hurt.
“Oh!” I blurted out.
“Nadia! What’s happening?”
“The baby’s coming. I’m think I’m in labor!”
He jumped around frantically. “Oh! OHHH! What should I do?”
“I’m the one delivering the baby! Calm down!” I gasped. “Oh Watcher!”
I looked back up at him. The contractions were only about five minutes apart. “The baby isn’t coming for a few hours, I think. We’ll finally meet our little girl or boy!”
“We’re going to be parents.” He whispered.
“Yeah.” He smiled.
“I’m gonna take a bath and be right back, ok?”
“Yeah. I’ll put the yogurt back so it stays cold.”
I tried to concentrate on the bubbles floating in the bath, and not the contractions. I got out, got my yogurt, and sat next to him.
“You okay?” He asked, concerned.
“Yeah…” The contractions were faster and stronger now. “I think the baby’s coming, right now!” I thought I had more time!
He sat in shock for a few minutes and then told me: “It’s going to be ok. I love you. We’re going to be parents.”
I gave birth to a baby boy. We named him Jonathan Ryan Clemonte.
He hugged me so tight. “You did it.”
“I did it.” I whispered back.
