It’s been 3 years. The house looks great now. We added on a kitchen and 2 bedrooms- one for Jonathan and one for us. It actually looks like home now. Maybe the best part is the kitchen so we no longer have to eat on the bed… We dressed up for his birthday, even though we knew that he wouldn’t remember it. We would. Here’s my little boy!
He inherited my hair and Mitch’s eyes. It feels like he was just born and he’s learning how to walk now. Time really flies by. I’ve gotten 2 promotions since I went back to work.
He is my little baby and I will never ever let anything happen to him.
“I can’t believe it. He’s amazing.” Mitch said.
I could hardly agree more. I eventually had given in…somewhat to his insisting I take it easy. I made sure that I got at least a few hours’ sleep everyday, which was hard. As the years went by, I’d gotten used to working less. No longer did I have time to brush up on my programming skills before work, or stay after to get more work in. I made sure, instead, to be there for my family.
“I know. A perfect mix of you and me.” I replied.
