Chapter 3.06: Friendship

During breakfast, Lexie just started yelling at me. I don’t know why.

I swear we were having a perfectly fine conversation just moments before. There was only one person I thought of talking to about Lexie. I had a few friends, but I only had one best friend, the person I could talk to about anything.

“Lyric, thank Watcher you came.”

“Where else would I be? You’re my best friend, and you sounded really freaked out on the phone.”

“It’s my sister, Lexie. She just lashed out at me, for no reason.”

“Are you sure there isn’t any reason?”

“Yes! We were just talking, and then-bam, she’s yelling at me.”

“Addie, I think you just gotta talk to her. There’s no other way to find out why, unless you can read minds!”

I laughed. “If I could, Lyric, I already would have.”

We went up to the lighthouse together. “It’s so peaceful up here.” I whispered. The sight was amazing. We’d went here for a field trip in elementary school once, but they didn’t let us go up here. Apparently you can’t trust 9 year olds up 20 feet high.

“Yeah, it really is.” Lyric said.

“Lexie, can we talk?”

“Look, if this is about earlier, I’m sorry.”

“Well, yeah, it is, but… what happened?”

She looked away. “Uh, it’s nothing.”

“It’s not nothing. Nothing doesn’t make you yell at your sister.”

“You wouldn’t get it.”

“I might not, but I can listen.”

“Fine.” She sighed. “It’s just that boy. The one I told you about before the house got built. I’m still not over him.”

I opened my mouth to talk, but Lexie started crying. “I don’t know why I’m so hung up on this guy. It’s not like I’m a big romantic or anything.”

“Lexie… I’m sorry. You’re a great girl, and any guy would be lucky to have you.”

“You think?”

“Yes! You can talk to me, you know.”

She smiled. “Yeah, I know. No more secrets, ok?”

“Ok.” I felt a small feeling of sadness as I walked back to my room. My sister could spill her guts to me, but I wasn’t telling her my biggest secret… I had to at least tell her the truth. I’d never be crying over boys… I’d be crying over girls. Didn’t she deserve to know? And my mom too. I didn’t know how much longer she had to live.

A/N: So I’ve been considering changing to a theme with a sidebar… I was just wondering your guys thoughts about the idea. I feel like it could be useful! 🙂 And you’re reading my story (and see the site often) so if there’s anything else I should consider while theme-searching, I’d love to know! Thanks! Also a big thank you to everyone who gave feedback for Generation 2! I’m glad you guys have been enjoying the story! Also, is 1920 x 1080 good resolution for playing the Sims 4? 🙂

    1. Oh yes, I love these photos 🙂 There were lots of windows & sunlight ❤️

  2. And now I should probably explore Brindleton Bay. I loved the picture of the two of them looking over the waters and I’ve never been to the lighthouse in my game.

  3. Aww, she’s bottling it all up. Her sister confides in her, she should, too.
