It’s been 11 months!

Wow, eleven months already? Last month, Adelaide’s generation had just ended and now we’re seven chapters into Vali’s! I hope everyone is enjoying what this new generation has to offer so far since it’s been really fun and different to write. So much has already happened in these few chapters! I try to make it where there really are no ‘filler chapters’ and all of them are needed to move the story forward. 🙂 They’ve all still been over 2000 words, which I’m pretty happy about, haha. My favorite thing so far has been developing all the characters and the plot – and I hope it shows. Like 99% of everything that happens, happens for a reason and is needed to move the story along. I’m so excited to continue with this generation, especially since it’s the first one that started when I really know what I’m doing, lol. Also, the whole thing so far with Adelaide… it only makes sense that Vali would be in some way affected by things her mom is doing in the world, for better or worse.

Anyway…

I do have a few questions for you guys this month, with Valentina’s story beginning and all, so…

  1. What do you think of the character development in this generation so far, specifically for the characters other than Vali – I don’t want them to be static characters, everyone has something going on in their life, which is a bit overwhelming when you think about it. Basically, do the characters seem complex?

  2. I am genuinely curious about this one – Do you think Vali has grown in these few chapters? If you don’t, that’s fine, it’s only been about 3 months in the story.

  3. What has captured your attention so far about what’s gone on in her story?

Thank you all so much for your continued support of this story and what I’m doing with it, it really means a lot. I hope you enjoy what is to come from Vali’s story! And thank you to all my consistent commenters – it really means a lot to get your feedback and know what you think, I look forward to it. 🙂

  1. Good for you! Almost a whole year and you’re moving along briskly through Gen 4.Congrats!

I’ve got a couple of months to go before my own annual anniversary and I’m still wallowing around in Gen 2. I would have hoped to be further along, but fall and winter quarter were demanding (the best laid plans of sims and bloggers, I suppose)

I haven’t commented on anything, but have been reading along, and trying to get things back on track for me.

  2. Wow, almost a year! I’ve really been enjoying the generation, there’s always a lot going on.

    1. Yeah, there definitely has been some changing, especially with their love lives. We haven’t seen much from everyone yet so I’m hoping to see more as time goes on! 😀
    2. A bit, yeah! She’s more concerned with her grades now that it’s costing her acting time, and I think she’s a *little* more mature. But only time will tell how she really turns out! 😀
    3. Adelaide’s politics from last chapter is definitely an interesting plot, and I am intrigued by why Emily is acting strangely, which I suppose I’ll find out in a minute! And Vali is quite the character, so I expect I’ll have fun reading whatever she gets up to.

I really do love your story, and I can’t wait to read more of it!

    1. Yeah, almost a year, it’s crazy!

      1. We’re only seven chapters in, so you’ll definitely see more from everyone as the story progresses.
      2. That’s true! And you’re right, we’ll have to wait to see how much she really does grow.
      3. I’m glad you think so – it’s not something I’ve ever seen be done in a sim story before! You’ll find out what’s going on in the next chapter 😛

Thank you! I’m really glad you enjoy it, that’s my goal! 😄 There’s plenty to come!

  3. Congratulations on another anniversary! This post somehow got buried in my reader, but I’m here now 😀 So far, I’m really loving what you’re doing with this gen and that there has been no filler chapters. I get excited each time we see an update. I think you’re doing a good job with fleshing out the characters, so it’s not all about Vali. I agree with the previous commenter that Vali finally seems to have realized she needs to work on her grades, which is good. And it totally does make sense that Addie’s actions would affect Vali!

    1. Thank you! I’m glad you’ve been enjoying the generation and I’m really happy to hear you get excited with new updates. 😄 I’ve been really trying to show that everyone has their own lives – not just Vali. It does make sense that things Adelaide is doing would affect her kids – and not ~just~ her kids, but everyone else, too. 🙂
